Meet the Librarian

Ms. Elvira Jane Watson

"My philosophy is that every human in this planet deserves a beautiful library experience. Libraries are centers of learning, and centers of culture where everyone can have an opportunity to gather, to learn, to enrich their very lives. I feel that as a public school librarian, it is our sacred duty to inculcate within each person's heart the love of libraries. Their innate thoughts and feelings towards libraries should be a legacy, something that is handed down or inherent within their family. It should be like a favorite season or celebration that is handed down throughout their generations. If we take the time to demonstrate the tremendous value of a free lending library, an American concept, then this will become more than just a fond memory within each child's mind. It will become their legacy!"
